Project kickoff
Msg2me began with a simple idea: the Chinese internet needed a quieter, more professional, friendlier content portal. The team started building the first community and article systems.
Community launch
The first version of our dual-mode community — forum plus feed — went live and attracted our first seed users. We kept refining core interactions such as posting, commenting, liking, and bookmarking.
Tools and store
The online toolbox and boutique store launched one after another, expanding the platform from a content community into a comprehensive portal. Users could read, discuss, search, and shop all in one place.

Our multilingual work began in 2000 with a Discuz multilingual plugin. Honed continuously for more than two decades, it has grown into a system of single-language packs and a language-switcher plugin covering 10+ languages; we have also built a series of template plugins for the WordPress ecosystem for wholesale, subscriptions, and appointments & bookings. From the earliest community forum to today's complete ecosystem spanning content creation, knowledge sharing, productivity tools, and digital commerce, we have always believed that an open, diverse, welcoming community makes every visit worthwhile.

- Digital product sales: the boutique store sells themes, templates, assets, courses, and other digital products; every item is hand-screened for quality.
- Tool subscriptions and commercial licenses: some advanced tools offer subscriptions or commercial licenses, while regular users can keep using the free features.
- Brand partnerships and advertising: we partner with brands on compliant promotions; all ads are clearly labeled and never mixed in with regular content.
- Revenue sharing with creators: signed creators earn a share of the revenue their content generates, so creators share in the platform's growth.
We promise never to profit from selling user data, never to harm the experience with intrusive ads, and never to mislead creators or partners with false claims.

Msg2me strictly complies with the laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China, including but not limited to the Cybersecurity Law, Personal Information Protection Law, Data Security Law, Copyright Law, and E-Commerce Law. We invest continuously in the following areas:
- Content moderation: a dual human-plus-algorithm review mechanism promptly handles illegal and non-compliant content;
- Minors protection: we do not proactively collect minors' information and provide a teen mode and time-management features;
- IP protection: we maintain infringement-reporting channels and respond promptly to rights holders' notices;
- Data security: we protect user data with encrypted storage, access control, and audit logs;
